About Us
Ujala Foundation, an NGO founded by Abhishek Singh in 2016, is dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare for the underprivileged and indigenous communities. In seven years, we've not only enhanced healthcare facilities but also provided critical emergency medical assistance to those in desperate need.
Our guiding principle is simple: every individual, regardless of their economic status, deserves access to resources and opportunities for a dignified life. To date, we've transformed the lives of over 10,000 individuals through successful cleft surgeries, enabled over 8,000 patients to recover from Burn-PBC surgeries, and reached more than 15,000 indigenous people. This remarkable journey wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our 50+ strong team.
In February 2018, we accomplished a significant milestone, helping approximately 1,000 people regain their vision through successful cataract surgeries performed by renowned specialists.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we stepped up to serve over 10,000 families with daily meals, ensuring hygiene and social distancing were maintained.
A pivotal aspect of our work involves organizing health camps in villages, where our doctors provide free medical advice and medicines. Those in need of further treatment receive it at private hospitals, with our organization covering the expenses. We conduct 3-4 health camps each month, reinforcing our commitment to accessible healthcare for all. Together, we strive to create a healthier, more equitable world for everyone.
